About Us

Bailey Amis, MA (She/Her)

Pre-Licensed Therapist

As a therapist, I believe that by partnering with my clients to identify their goals, barriers, and patterns we can work together toward growth and a more fulfilled life. I work with clients who are experiencing trauma, stressful life transitions, ADHD, anxiety, depression, interpersonal conflicts, low self esteem, and body image issues. I also work with clients who have experienced strict religious communities or religious trauma.

I believe that past experiences can impact current life challenges and identifying patterns of behavior can be helpful for growth. For those that have experienced trauma, processing those experiences is important to building a healthier and more fulfilling life. I integrate mind and body work, EMDR, and a trauma-informed approach to assist clients in reprocessing traumatic and stressful experiences.

I aim to create a safe space for all clients and actively participate in continued learning in body liberation, queer liberation, and anti-racism in an effort to be Inclusive.

Reaching out can be scary and opening up can be tough, but we can take it one step at a time and go at a pace you're comfortable with to help you continue on your journey with more confidence, coping skills, and support.

I completed my Bachelor of Science degree in Human Development and Family Science at Oklahoma State University and my Master’s of Science degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the University of Arkansas.

Alex Bond, MA (They/Them)

Pre-Licensed Therapist

I am a queer, neurodivergent clinician committed to creating a warm and welcoming environment free of judgment or pretense, where you may feel empowered to voice thoughts, express feelings, and be curious about yourself in a way you may not have elsewhere. I believe that each person has the ability to create their own meaning in life, and I am passionate about helping my clients uncover their unique purpose and potential. Together, we will work to address any limiting beliefs or patterns, as well as examine how past experiences and cultural factors have shaped your worldview and prevented you from living a more fulfilling life.

In our work together, I invite you to speak candidly and explore your dreams and desires outside the bounds of rigid binaries and external expectations, without fear of criticism or rejection. Although opening up at times may feel difficult, in doing so many experience an even greater sense of relief and fulfillment.

Finding a therapist you can trust to accept your whole, complex being can be challenging, but finding your fit can be key to feeling supported in bringing your life and relationships to a new level. I would be honored to be that therapist for you. I look forward to supporting you on your journey towards greater self-awareness, resilience, and well-being.

Gerardo Ramos, PsyD (He/Him)

Pre-Licensed Doctoral Clinician

I specialize in evaluations for the diagnosing autism and ADHD. Through the evaluation process, I aim to support individuals and deepen their self-understanding.

I employ a strength-based and identity model, which prioritizes the understanding of Autism and ADHD as one piece of his client’s personality and not strictly a disability. I hope that my clients walk away with a greater appreciation and knowledge of themselves. I aim to identify crucial factors about the client which empower them to make choices that lead to a healthier life.

In addition, I provide therapy services for individuals, couples, and families. My specialties include working with men struggling with anxiety, depression, life transitions, and personal relationships. I am a Puerto Rican native that is comfortable providing therapy in Spanish.

Madeline William, PsyD (She/Her)

Licensed Clinical Psychologist & Creator of Adapt

As a psychologist, I am most passionate about serving the neurodiverse community of Chicago. I work with people of all ages, from toddlerhood through adulthood to provide an enriching psychological testing and evaluation experience. My goal is to pinpoint your most needed areas of support and your unique capabilities and strengths. My approach is identity-affirming and designed to support parents and adults in advocating for needs, accommodations, and acceptance of differences.

Through my clinical experience in the assessment of ADHD, autism, and learning differences I have learned about the variance in diagnostic presentation across the gender spectrum including non-binary people. I am also well-attuned with the experience of a parent who is working hard to seek answers for their child and to connect them to the best fit for care and treatment.

I work with a limited number of individuals in ongoing therapy. My role is to help you identify and clarify values in the various environments in which you interact and create adaptive strategies to deepen your sense of meaning and purpose in daily life. I encourage independent thinking, self-trust, and creative problem solving, as well as assertive communication in relationships to convey one’s needs and connect with loved ones.

I founded Adapt Psychological Services with the aspiration of creating a hub of care for neurodivergent individuals. If we do not provide the services you or your child needs, we are likely connected with providers or organizations who do. We hope to use our resources and network of partnerships to assist you in receiving the progress, insight, and meaning-making that you seek.

I received my doctoral degree in clinical psychology from Adler University in Chicago, where I also received my Master’s degree in art therapy. I completed my Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Vermont where I studied creative writing, studio art, and psychology.
